Patients leave their wards to vote
04 March 2013, 11:54
The Nanyuki District Hospital used their ambulances to transport more than 41 patients to various polling stations in Laikipia East.
According to the hospital’s nursing officer George Muchama, the patients couldn’t afford to stay in their wards while other Kenyans made their way to the polling centres to exercise their democratic rights.
Residents of Nanyuki woke up at the wee hours of the morning on Monday morning to cast their votes and queues could be seen snaking their way at various polling centers.
Neither irregularities nor campaign posters were reported in the constituency by the time of going to press.
