Nairobi - A Pastor was arraigned in a Kibera law court for defiling a 14-year-old girl.
Appearing before chief magistrate Lucas Onyina, Joel Mungai pleaded not guilty of sexually harassing and defiling the minor on July 21, 2013 at Kanyerere in Nairobi.
Mungai in his defense told the court that he neither had the slightest idea as to why he was arraigned nor knew the complainant, adding that even Jesus Christ was falsely accused and crucified.
"I believe that the ones bringing me to court are enemies who are after tarnishing my name and the work I do for the Lord, because as a leader and father it is good to be a role model," Mungai said.
The Chief Magistrate ordered the accused to be taken back to central police station to allow the police conduct more investigations, giving him a warning in regard to his rage in court.
Onyina allowed the accused to be released on a cash bond of KES 150 000.
The hearing of the case was set for December 12, 2013 at the Kibera court 1.
