Pastor Ng'ang'a's church bans journalists from sessions

Nairobi - Pastor James Ng'ang'a's church, Neno Evangelism Centre has banned journalists from covering service sessions after he blamed the media for trying to portray him as a murderer.
Efforts by News24 to attend Service Sunday failed to bear fruit as security agents acting on orders from Ng'ang'a stopped anyone who sought to report on the matter from accessing the premises along Haile Selassie avenue in Nairobi.
" Stay away from here. We need you to leave us alone. You are out to kill pastor Ng'ang'a and the church but we will not let you," the agents said.
Other journalists were roughed up by the security officers and forced to show the officers the material they had taken from the service before being kicked out.
Ng'ang'a has been in the news for negative reasons lately, after he was allegedly involved in an accident which left a woman dead and the husband badly injured.
The Range Rover he was traveling in was involved in the accident which occurred while it was being driven on the wrong side of the road. Eye witnesses placed him at the scene but he has since denied any involvement.
A man, Simon Kuria has since been charged as the one driving the car in the ill fated accident, which saw Mercy Njeri die from severe injury.
He has been accused by the media of bribing police officers to have the case silenced and Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinett has said that investigations to find out the truth are ongoing.
" Any officer found to be involved in the alleged incidences of bribery will face the consequences which include facing the sack," Boinett said.
