Nairobi - Pastor James Ng'ang'a will be charged with killing a woman through dangerous driving, the Director of Public Prosecutions DPP has said.
Ng'ang'a has been in the spotlight over the death of a woman in Limuru after a vehicle he was allegedly driving was involved in an accident last month.
Ms Mercy Njeri, died in the accident while her husband Martin Mbugua survived with multiple injuries.
Police have been on the spot for allegedly trying to “help” the pastor in an elaborate cover-up which entailed the doctoring of the initial report concerning the crash.
However, the DPP has now said that evidence gathered from witnesses who were at the scene placed Ng'ang'a at the accident and that they would be used to make a case against him.
A man who was placed as the driver of the Ranger Rover vehicle that hit the couple will be charged with giving false information to the police.
Pastor Ng'ang'a has already publicly denied claims that he was driving the ill fated vehicle.
