Nyeri - Police in Nyeri and Nyahururu have launched a manhunt for two people who abducted a five-year-old boy along Nyeri-Nyahururu road.
The boy was abducted on his way home from school by two unknown people who were riding on a motorbike, police said.
He was a pupil at Wema Academy in Githunguchu location, Nyahururu, and the incident was reported to Mairo-Inya police station.
Police said the other pupils who witnessed the incident said the child had been tricked to fetch money from his kidnappers before they forcefully took him and sped off.
