Panic as plane crash-lands at JKIA
04 January 2015, 13:01
Nairobi - A plane has crash landed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport JKIA in Nairobi, though no deaths or injuries have been reported.
The Fokker 50 plane, landing at the airport from Wajir town in northern Kenya apparently failed to engage its landing gear and belly landed at the airport's runway.
No injuries were reported on the six persons who were on board.
The accident though and blocking of the runway however meant that many flights would have to be moved elsewhere, with the Kenya Airports Authority KAA sending flights to the Mombasa International Airport.
Smaller flights have been sent to Nairobi's Wilson Airport as the runway is being cleared.
