A PNU Alliance party meeting was boycotted after six out of the nine invited MPs in Meru region failed to show up.
Speaking at Thiiri Centre in Meru County, Energy Minister Kiraitu Murungi assured the Party Members that the party will only pick an experienced person who will enter State House when President Mwai Kibaki retires
He further revealed that there are some political differences among them and dismissed that reluctant board the bus telling them to forget politics in Meru.
The minister who was accompanied by Tigania East MP Peter Munya and North Imenti Legislator Silas Muriuki however ruled out that he is ready to die for the bus just to make sure that the region has a bargaining power in the next government.
‘You don’t have to worry some people get to the Forest to hunt but when they find a snake on the way they spend the whole day killing the snake and forget to hunt and they go home hungry ,’ said the South Imenti MP.
He reiterated that presidential Aspirant, Uhuru Kenyatta, William Ruto and Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka are consulting him such that if they decide to pick and support one candidate, the torch bearer will be the Bus pilot.
‘I am focused on where am going and where Meru will be in the next decades. It’s a matter of putting proper political arithmetics in place,’’ said the Party Secretary General.
He expressed confidence that the next government will be ruled by one of the two Presidential Aspirants facing charges of crime against humanity at ICC.
The legislator asked the residents to ignore the rumours that the two, Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto are not fit to vie for a presidential seat noting they are innocent until proved guilty.
‘’If one of them is your favourite, vote for him, stop listening to politicians who want to use short -cuts to get to state house and not to face other on the ballot box,’ said Munya.
