Nairobi - A security van has rammed into pedestrians, killing 3 along Nairobi's Ngong Road, forcing police officers to shoot in the air to disperse angry members of the public.
The two vans belonging to the KK Security Company were delivering money when they rammed into the pedestrians near the Yaya Centre Shopping Mall.
The vans were overlapping when they lost control and rammed into the pedestrians.
3 in the group died on the spot while 5 others were badly injured.
Irate members of the public were set to attack the drivers of the vans but were stopped by Administration Police Officers who were helping accompany the money by shooting in the air.
Police officers thereafter arrived and picked up the bodies of the dead, whilst also whisking away the drivers of the vehicles.
" This is reckless driving and we have now seen the aftermath where people have died. I hope they will be charged," Isiah Ong'eno who witnessed the incident told News24.
