Nairobi - Funyula MP,Hon.Paul Otwoma, has expressed optimism that the Party's next coming national elections are going to be fair and transparency.
Otwoma, who is contesting for the Party's Chairman position said he is confident the competent National Elections Board team will conduct the elections independently without any influence on the outcome.
"ODM's awaited national elections will comprise a total of about 3000 delegates, eight from every constituency across the 47 counties to elect the party's leaders,"said Otwoma.
"The party's constitution recognizes a balance in diversity regional representation to attain its objective of being a party with a national image," he added.
He faulted the recent findings that the elections will disgruntle the party as a result of members' divisions adding that ODM remains the strongest party in the nation.
Otwoma said the party's contribution to realized outstanding national achievements such as attainment of devolution by campaigning for the New Constitution gives it a chance to form the government in the near future.
He lashed out claims from some withdrawing party contestants that their is a list of already endorsed leaders to fill those positions saying that they fear losing to their opponents.
"Party formation is like a growing business enterprise where it is started as a; sole proprietor, partnership then a corporation which is governed by well-laid down laws. ODM is no longer led by an individual guidance of endorsing party leaders but through the constitutional provision of elections,"noted Otwoma.
He said that when elected as the party's chairman, he will ensure that it is strong enough in the nation to form the government come 2017.
Otwoma was speaking on a local radio station on ODM's preparedness for the February 28 elections despite the challenge of its candidates withdrawing from the contest.
