Nairobi - Siaya Senator James Orengo has been taken aback by the death of a person he considers close to him, Otieno Kajwang.
Kajwang died Tuesday of Cardiac arrest and his autopsy was done Thursday at the Lee Funeral home, where Orengo was a witness to the proceedings.
The results will be known Friday.
On reflection, Orengo says he has lost a true friend on a personal level and that the country has lost a great leader.
" I am shocked at the news. It is not yet a reality for me," he said outside the Lee funeral home Thursday, following the postmortem.
" He was a good personal friend. He was loyal and hardworking but most importantly, he was a jovial human being who touched the lives of many including myself," he added.
Ruaraka Mp Tom Kajwang, Otieno's small brother said that they hope that the postmortem will offer solace to the family in his death.
" Hopefully we get results that will help us move on properly, he said.
Kajwang is expected to be buried next weekend, once the results of the postmortem are out.
