Nairobi - Siaya Senator James Orengo will appear at the CID Tuesday to record a statement over the Lamu land grabbing incidences.
The CORD luminary has been incriminated in the Lamu cases since he was lands minister when the alleged irregularities were made.
The cases have seen upto 500,000 acres of land owned by 22 firms and their title deeds revoked by the government in recent times.
Orengo has always protested his innocence over the matter and Monday arrived at CID headquarters to confirm his appearance Tuesday to record the statement.

He was accompanied by Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale and his Makueni counterpart Johnstone Muthama.
Orengo insists that he has never signed any paper or allocation form to any person or group and says that by appearing before the CID, he is seeking to clear his name.
After allegations from members of the Jubilee coalition over his conduct, Orengo has always protested his innocence.
" I'm ready to go before the police to state my innocence, he said in July upon announcement of the Lamu land grabbing scheme by president Uhuru Kenyatta.
