Nairobi - Siaya Senator James Orengo has been cleared of corruption charges by the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions DPP.
Orengo had been named as part of a report by the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commision EACC accused him of approving a number of irregular land deals.
The DPP announced Friday that there was not enough evidence to take Orengo's case to court.
" There was not enough evidence provided to enable the case be pushed forward, the DPP said.
Orengo had been accused of illegally renewing a lease on a piece of land in Westlands, an allegation that the former Lands Minister had categorically denied.
