One hacked to death as robbers make away money

A 35 years old man was yesterday night hacked to death when a gang of five robbers raided and robbed their homestead at Wamuini B area of Kiminini division.

The deceased Mr. Evans Ndung’u was killed after his efforts to raise alarm to alert the neighbors of the robbers who had invaded his father’s house bore no fruit.

In the incident Mr. Joseph Wainaina who is the deceased father were injured and are nursing panga cuts and was treated and released.

The robbers stole 30,000 shillings and phones from the family who were left wondering what next as both doors to the deceased parents and the deceased door was smashed to pieces using ahuge stone.

It is rumored that the family had sold seven bags of maize that is thought to have prompted the robbery.

The area has been prone to robbery incident of late with the local administration calling upon the locals to caution as security starts with you before your neighbors.

Confirming the incident Kitale OCPD Mr. Lukas Ogara called upon the locals to take precaution and alert the relevant authorities on any suspicious characters among themselves as security starts with you before moving to your neighbor.

‘’We cannot assure all Kenyans of their security so am calling upon you to take care and help us curb the increasing cases of crime,” Mr. Ogara noted in closing remarks.

So far no arrest have been made and the police are following leads that will see them apprehend the robbers.
