Nairobi - The Okoa Kenya Referendum bill is ready, the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy CORD has said.
The referendum progress has slowed pretty much to tortoise speed level in the last few months as the Committee of experts led by lawyer Paul Mwangi sat down to work to deal with the finer details of the referendum and drafting of the bill.
And now according to the party, the bill is ready for presentation.
" The launch and official presentation of the Referendum Bill by the Okoa Kenya Committee of Experts will be held next Wednesday 18th at Bomas of Kenya," ODM communications chief Philip Etale said Tuesday.
The coalition has eight points of contention that it wants Kenyans to help them change in the constitution.
They include electoral reforms, which target the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commision as well as improved Security and increased surveillance as regards corruption.
The party has already collected 1 million signatures needed to enforce a popular referendum.
