Ojaamong congratulates Namwamba

Labour Assistant Minister, Sospeter Ojaamong has lauded Thursday’s appointment of Budalang’i MP Ababu Namwamba as Sports and Youth
Ojaamong said although the Iteso community had high expectations that he would have been elevated to full minister, he said the party needs
to focus on bigger things ahead. “Ababu’s elevation is not regrettable. The Budalangi MP has gone public several times pushing for position of governor in Busia County to be taken by a candidate from Teso,” he said.
Ojaamong said the Teso community should view Namwamba as one of us given the fact that the Budalangi legislator was an alumnus of Kolanya
Boys High School in Teso North. Ojaamong said the cabinet reshuffle had a national appeal save for local level where Bunyala took two slots with Ababu and Regional Development Minister Fred Gumo.
He said Butula, Nambale and Teso feel shortchanged but with the reshuffle already executed, the leaders from the three regions should
forget the past and forge ahead. Ojaamong said Prime Minister Raila Odinga will soon visit Teso where he will tour the two districts from Changara to Busia town.
He urged Teso leaders to prepare a memorandum which will be presented to the PM on any burning issues affecting the constituents.
