Ogwayo to fly Kenya's flag in CECAFA

Nairobi - Anthony Ogwayo has been named by CECAFA as part of a group of match officials that will do duty in the upcoming Senior Challenge Cup to be held in Nairobi.

A list of 18 referees was released Monday by the CECAFA Secretary General Nicholas Musonye. It has nine (9) referees and nine (9) assistants, with three Kenyans in total set to run the rule over the tourney.

Ogwayo is the only centre referee from the country in the list with Gilbert Cheruiyot and Tonny Kidiya named as assistant referees.

All these referees will however be subjected to fitness and medical tests on arrival in Nairobi before the tournament officially kicks off, November 27.
