Octopizzo says no to racism

01 May 2014, 15:53 Eugene Odanga

Nairobi - The banana frenzy which was born after Dani Alves, the Barcelona footballer ate a banana that was thrown on the pitch during one of the Spanish La Liga matches last week, has caught on in Kenya too.

The footballer was about to take a corner kick when a banana was thrown onto the football pitch. He then picked it up, skinned and ate it and proceeded with taking the corner kick, paying no attention to the racist gesture attached to it. His actions sparked a serious no racism campaign which saw people take pictures eating bananas like he did.

Kenyan celebrities refuse to be left behind in all of this with Octopizzo being the front runner in the anti-racism campaign. In a photo posted on his wall by a fan of his, the rapper is seen eating a banana with Kris Darlin and Japheth Akhulia.

It was followed by this post “And we showed our support #NoToRacism with Kriss Darlin II n Octopizzo Da'Illest. Football is fun, colordoesn’t matter! #SSKPL” The picture has gone viral on the social media platforms and thousands are showing their support for these actions.

Let us join the stars in taking banana pictures in support of this anti-racism campaign.
