Obama to stay at Kempinski?
24 July 2015, 11:49
Nairobi - US President Barrack Obama will spend his weekend in Kenya at the exclusive Villa Rosa Kempinski Hotel in Westlands Nairobi, according to reports.
Obama will be in the country from Friday night and will arrive with a barrage of security arrangements that will see major roads in the capital city closed as a result.
According to sources, Obama will stay at the Presidential Suite of the Kempinski Hotel, famous for the revelation that a room can go for as much as KES 2.3 million a night.
The reports though are unconfirmed and frankly will remain that way until Obama leaves the country Sunday.
However, several road traffic arrangements mean that the hotel is Obama's likely destination. Here's why.
Motorists will not be able to access Waiyaki Way to Chiromo past the Westlands roundabout. Motorists will also not access Chiromo road through the University Way roundabout, and also no entry from Riverside drive.
This will take effect from 2 PM Friday to 4 PM Sunday.
There will also be barricades placed on the roads, which means that there will be basically no access to the Kempinski Hotel this weekend.
So is this where Obama will stay? The guess is yours.
