Obama right hand man Kerry arrives in Kenya

Nairobi - US Secretary of State John Kerry has arrived in the country ahead of a two day visit.
The highest profile official to visit Kenya from the US since the Obama administration took over, Kerry is considered third from the top in terms of the US government tree and his arrival was greeted with heavy security at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Sunday afternoon.
Kerry arrived in the country just after 2 PM local time.
Kerry is visiting the country ahead of US President Barack Obama’s July tour, the first in the country since he became US president.
Obama will visit the country in July.
Kerry was on tour in Sri Lanka prior to his arrival in the country.
He will meet President Uhuru Kenyatta Monday where he is expected to have bilateral talks with the head of State where he will re-affirm the US' commitment to its relations with Kenya.
