Obama carried own chef during visit

Nairobi - US President Barack Obama used his own personal chef during his stay in Kenya, even though some local ones did help out.
The US President ate his meals whilst in the country at the Villa Rosa Kempinski in Westlands Nairobi, where he also invited several members of his family to a dinner last Friday.
According to some staff members at the hotel who for obvious reasons cannot be named, Obama's personal chef arrived in the country to prepare meals for the President.
" They had their own chef," a usual kitchen staff member at the hotel told News24.
" Our head chef helped in the cooking but he was supervised by the American chef," the staffer added.
Obama also had a meal at State House Nairobi where he was invited by President Uhuru Kenyatta Saturday night and it is not yet clear if Obama's meal there was also cooked by the same chef.
Whether Obama slept at the Kempinski was another issue no one was willing to speak on.
" It is a matter that is confidential and everyone has been told to be silent about it," another senior staffer added.
All pointers though, are that Obama slept at the hotel though official sources also refused to reveal, says after his departure from the country.
Obama left the country Sunday after a three day stay in the country.
