Obado takes Migori apology to State House

Nairobi - Migori Governor Zachary Okoth Obado will take an official apology from from Migori residents to State House over the trouble caused during president Uhuru Kenyatta's visit.
The Governor and a large group of residents were in Nairobi Wednesday morning, heading to State House to meet the president.
Arriving in what looked like ten buses, the group will offer an apology to the president over the treatment he received last week during a visit to the County.
The president was heckled by angry youth and shoes thrown in his direction during an anti- Malaria campaign.
He has since blamed politicians for the melee that occured on the day.
Vincent Okello, a teacher from Migori and part of the delegation heading to State House said that theirs was a trip of significance.

" We are here to apologize to the president and to assure him that the people of Migori are saddened by the events of last week and hope for forgiveness, he said.
Obado had last week asked police to jail those behind the trouble caused.
Five persons have been arrested by police over the matter with a number of MPs also questioned over the matter.
The Orange Democratic Movement ODM has also apologized for the trouble on the day, even though party leader Raila Odinga has yet to comment on it.
