OLe Lenku in mourning following father's death

Nairobi - Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Ole Lenku is mourning the death of his father Mzee Lenku Ole Mpaa, who died Monday morning.
President Uhuru Kenyatta described the deceased as a distinguished Maasai leader who contributed heavily to his community’s development, in his condolence message to the bereaved family.
“He had the virtue of being a good organizer with excellent administrative skills and was also a man of enormous influence and outstanding ability among his peers. His exemplary virtues of hard work and dedication to duty were an inspiration to many of those who had the privilege to work with him,” Kenyatta said.

He said the death of Ole Mpaa was not only a big loss to his family but also to the nation, which he served with commitment and dedication.
“I pray that God grants his family the strength to bear the loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of sorrow,” the president added.
