ODM's big day finally arrives

Nairobi - The Orange Democratic Movement ODM's top decision making organ meets to decide the fate of a party in discord at the moment.
ODM's National Governing Council NGC will meet to decide on whether to take up a controversial party leadership list that was drafted three weeks ago in Naivasha ans has threatened to split the party into two.
The list was made mainly to bring two camps together, the one which supported Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba and the other which was behind nominated Senator Agnes Zani.
The fact that the list has attracted so much controversy is due to the fact that it has been viewed by many as a ploy to make all people happy at the expense of democracy.
And with a number of MPs and Senators already on record as saying they are against it, the NGC will today have its work cut out to decide the way forward for the party as the 2017 General elections draw near.
" I think that list is wrong and must be discarded and I hope the NGC will view it just as that, a piece of rubbish and dispense with it, Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya urged members.
" The list shows that we are not ready to accept losers in our party and draws the wrong conclusions. We can and should do better as a party, he added.
