Nairobi - ODM leader Raila Odinga is confident that the party will deliver on its elections after forging a committee to oversee a re-run of the aborted polls.
There was chaos during the first election on Friday and the elections were eventually called off, with the party saying it was taking its time to address pending issues.
Top on the agenda in the meeting at Orange House was the reconcilliation efforts between factions in the party, led by Secretary General aspirants Ababu Namwamba and Dr Agnes Zani.
The two agreed to work together to ensure that the polls held were succesful and Raila praised their willingness to put their differences aside and work for the betterment of the party.
" We will have succesful elections because the will is there to do things right. We have had to put our differences aside for the good of the party.
A team that will oversee the running of the elections will be officially nominated to day and they will be borne of members of the two opposing factions according to Raila.
" The team will ensure that all aspects of the election and the expected re-run will be covered conclusively and that the elections will be succesful, he added.
Odinga was adamant that those causing trouble within the party will be dealt with and if necessary thrown out of the party.
" ODM will not tolerate trouble makers and will act on those found culpable for the trouble on Friday.
