ODM tells Jubilee to deliver or quit
03 June 2014, 16:10
Nairobi - The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party's Nyeri county branch Chairman, Gitonga Wathanga has said they are in support of the CORD coalition’s demands that the Government deliver on its promises or quit.
Wathanga said the people of Central Kenya are equally pressed by the problems facing Kenya including insecurity and high cost of living.
He said the Jubilee Government appears to have no idea on what they should do to enhance security.
The chairman was in the company of the Nyeri Town sub-branch chairman, Kabue Ng’ang’a when he made the remarks.
“We had been promised that standard one kids would get laptops but that program is at a standstill as corruption magnates fight,” Wathanga said.
The officials said the government needs to come up with new ways of tackling corruption which they said led to the death of more than 100 people after consuming lethal brews.
