Nairobi - The Orange Democratic Movement ODM will decide on the fate of Executive Chairman Magerer Lang'at during a special national executive council meeting.
The party last week said that it would meet Tuesday to probe an incident in which the former Kipkelion MP was beaten by a group of Members of County Assemblies last week.
Secretary General Prof. Anyang Nyong'o said that it was a must that the party come up with a decision to quell the recent spate of violence within the party.
" We have to ensure that this does not happen again and that is a message we will pass when we meet Tuesday, he said.
Also on the agenda is likely to be the conduct of Lang'at who has come under heavy scrutiny from the party over his recent comments.
Many within the party believe he should be kicked out and that is set to be a matter of discussion.
It is alleged that he made comments purporting to party leader Raila Odinga and his suitability to lead the party.
He said in Nakuru last week that Odinga was past it and that the party was stagnating as a result.
Lang'at has since denied making the comments.
