Nairobi - A team formed to probe the botched Orange Democratic Movement ODM elections will not break the party's unity in its search for the culprits of the embarrassing fallout.
The team which has been mandated to find the reasons and culprits behind the violence in the failed February 28 polls begun its proceedings Wednesday.
In a press conference at Orange House Nairobi, team leader Jotham Nyukuri said that his team will not leave any stone unturned in its search for the trouble makers of the defunct elections.
That said, it will only act in the mission of getting the party back on track and will not do anything to divide the part further.
" We begin our mandate in earnest and ask members of the public or anyone with information that will help us get to the reasons behind the violence to come forward.
He did however say that there will be no situation where the committee will cause further disharmony in the party.
" This committee has been set here to ensure that such an incident does not happen again but will not in any way compromise the party's unity or cause further problems, he added.
He did say though that those found to have taken part in the election violence will face the full force of the law.
" We will institute criminal proceedings if necessary, he added.
A separate committee has been formed and handed the task of ensuring the party is ready to re-do the busted elections and ensure that they are free and fair.
