Nyeri completes vetting of nominees
03 July 2013, 16:22
Nyeri County Committee of Appointments on Tuesday completed vetting of three executive nominees and four members of the County Public Service Board.
The names of the nominees were resubmitted by Governor Nderitu Gachagua following a rejection of the initial list by the committee.
Chaired by the County Assembly Speaker David Mwangi Mugo, the committee said the previous nominees were unsuitable to serve in the dockets the Governor had proposed them to serve.
The panel which comprises six members are expected to table their report in the County Assembly on Wednesday afternoon to be discussed by the ward representatives.
They will either agree with the findings of the committee or amend the report prior to handing it over to the Governor for further directives.
Earlier, some committee members had vowed to vet the nominees accordingly after the Governor decided to resubmit the rejected nominees.
