Nyeri Governor discharged from hospital

Nyeri - Nyeri Governor, Nderitu Gachagua has been discharged from a UK hospital where he had been admitted for more than two months.
According to Deputy Governor, Samuel Wamathai, the Governor is stable and is expected to jet back into the country within the next ten days.
“I want to confirm to you that the Governor has been discharged from hospital and is just waiting to be fully released by the doctors. He will be back in the country within the next ten days,” said Wamathai during an Education forum in Nyeri town.
Wamathai has been acting as the Governor since December last year.

He however said, "The Governor’s seat is hot having been the acting Governor for the last two and a half months but am managing."
The Governor was admitted in a UK hospital over an undisclosed disease.
Members of the area County Assembly have been demanding an official communication from the executive over the prolonged absence of the Governor, which has sparked anxiety.
However, it is not the first time the deputy Governor has announced to the residents that the Governor ‘will come soon’.
