Nyandarua County Assembly staff in dilemma

Nyahururu - About ten members of staff who were deployed to Nyandarua County Assembly from the defunct Nyandarua county and Ol Kalou town councils are in dilemma after the Executive arm of the county government re-deployed them back to the assembly.
The county clerk, Purity Mwonjoria Kamuruchi turned them away on Monday arguing that she had not received a letter from the executive to re-deploy the staff back to the assembly.
However, a letter written by the county Human Resource manager to one of the staff members dated July 31 read in part, “your re-deployment from the County Assembly to the executive arm of the county government has been reversed. You are therefore advised to report back to the County Assembly with immediate effect.”
Speaking on phone, Kamuruchi confirmed she had not received a letter directing her to re-deploy the staff.
“I will respond when the letter arrives,” she said.
When contacted, the Human Resource Manager said the staff was re-deployed back to the Assembly but did not give further details.
“This is not about us. It is a war between the assembly and the executive, boiling down to us,” one of the affected staff members said.
