Nurse in court for stealing drugs from hospital

Nyeri - A nurse has been arraigned in a Kerugoya court for stealing drugs worth KES 50 000 from a dispensary.
Samuel Muriuki, a nurse based at Nguka dispensary in Mwea west Sub-county, was charged that he stole an assortment of drugs and medical equipment valued at KES 50 000 the property of the Kirinyaga County Government.
He allegedly committed the offence on September 9.

The nurse who was unrepresented however denied the charges when he appeared before Resident Magistrate David Nyamboke.
The court ordered that the accused be released on a cash bail of KES 300 000 or KES 500 000 bond until November 2 when the case will come up for hearing.
