No Garissa attack bodies dumped in Langata, police say

Nairobi - No bodies of Garissa attack victims have been dumped at the Langata cemetery, police have stated.
The police response followed a flurry of social media activity which claimed that a white lorry had been seen dumping bodies at the cemetery.
Langata OCPD Elijah Mwangi told News24 that such rumours were hell bent on creating anger and that they should cease being propagated or risk action.
" There is no truth in those reports. Let those that are saying so prove it. The reports are creating panic and we urge Kenyans to desist from sending them," he said.
The reports came in the aftermath of claims last week that there are 166 missing students from the Garissa University College attack.
The University Academic Staff Union UASU claimed that the government was insincere on the number of dead and missing from the attack.
Official figures state that 148 people have died but UASU insist the figure is much higher and many students cannot be accounted for.
