04 August 2015, 13:38
Nairobi - Just when you think things in the Kenyan music industry can’t
get any better, artists like Njeri pop up to prove you wrong.
Many a time,
Kenyans have been called out for embracing foreign cultures and languages and
forgetting their own. Njeri has taken this personally in her debut track called
“Nduta”, with most of the parts done in her native tongue Kikuyu.
She prides herself for having come from Kiambu County in
Kenya, and shows that in every way in her music, rapping her way to the top of
the music scene in the few days the video has been out.
For a first attempt,
the song is actually pretty good and is accompanied by a very well done video.
