Nato the arbitrators of good?
24 October 2011, 12:03
So Gaddafi is dead and long live the king!
I have just listened to President Obama’s speech as well as that of the Former UK ambassador to Nato and am appalled by what was said. They have condoned the savage butchery of a human being by a rabid mob in the name of “he got what he deserved...” Have we fallen to the same level of depravity as the man WE have murdered?
We all agree that Gaddafi was an abomination and an evil and sinister international terror force; but to think that Nato under the direction of the western powers can be the arbitrators of good and bad/right and wrong is really a step too far.
Certainly the next empire to be set upon will be that of Saudi Arabia, not a democracy or a freedom loving country. The writing is on the wall for the small fries like Syria and the Yemen. Israel, a Middle Eastern incongruity, may well be on the cards to be attacked. Who is Nato to think that it is the sole arbiter of right and wrong, in the guise of might and strong?
And while we are at it, why can’t Communist China say by its Munroe Doctrine that all of its hemisphere must fall under its control and tell Australia and New Zealand that they are local incongruities as they have been designated as home lands for a few hundred million Chinese settlers. And maybe even Japan and South Korea while they are at it!
You see the point, the self-centred Nato Alliance - read that Britain and the United States - have let the genie out of the bottle, and let Humpty Dumpty fall and shatter, and all their King’s Horses will never get the genie back in the bottle or Humpty Dumpty back into one piece!
We shall have to brace ourselves for some pretty horrific times ahead and we shall have no alternative but to blame the vile and vicious western powers for what calamities are in store for us in the coming months and years.
