Namwamba: I am a people's 'mole' in ODM

Nairobi - Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba said Tuesday that he is the people's ‘mole’ in the Orange Democratic Movement party.
Speaking during an interview on Citizen Television, Namwamba said he is determined to see the party regain its shape.
“I am a mole that must get into the system and cleanse it in preparation for 2017 General Election,” said Namwamba, who was vying for the party’s Secretary General’s post in last week’s aborted polls.
He said people are afraid because of the transformation he would bring into the party if elected.
“If elected, no stone will be left unturned in shaping up the party and preparing party leader Raila Odinga to be the president in 2017,” he said.
He expressed confidence that come 2017, President Uhuru Kenyatta and hid deputy William Ruto will be official opposition leaders.
Namwamba exonerated nominated MP Isaac Mwaura from claims that he planned the chaos, saying he was exercising his democratic right.
On his part, Mwaura said young people should be given the opportunity to exercise their democratic space since they have something good to offer in leadership.
He said political parties must be mature and allow internal democracy in the election of leaders.
