A Nakuru based lobby group has strongly condemned the heinous act in Chesirikwo village of Kuresoi in which a father murdered his five children by and late before committing suicide.
The Nakuru County Human Rights Network (NAHURINET) termed the incident as inhuman as the children were innocent.
The lobby group executive director David Western Kuria through a statement he issues to members of the media in Nakuru town, he described the act as ruthless and called on parents to find amicable ways of solving disputes.
“The act was ruthless and if incase the parents had disputes, they should have solved it using other methods rather than ending up lives of innocent children hence terminating their future”, he said.
Kuria further called on men to shun women battering terming it as a “old tradition" that is not acceptable especially under the new dispensation.
He also urged elders to be holding frequent barazas saying that will give them platform to educate and sensitize young married couples on how they can solve family conflicts in order to avert bizarre incidents like the one witnessed in the said area.
