Nakuru hotel destroyed by fire

Nakuru - Property of unknown value was destroyed Thursday morning by fire at Tabaruk hotel next to Nakuru main matatu terminus.
According to an eyewitness and a trader in the town, Patrick Wanjau, the fire started from the kitchen and quickly spread to the main dining.
“I saw a huge smoke coming from the kitchen spreading quickly to the main dining of the hotel,” he said.
Fire fighters from the Nakuru county government arrived moments later to help put off the fire.

No one was injured during the morning incident.
The hotel staff said the fire started at around 6am, after they reported for work.
However, police had a difficult time controlling a huge crowed that had gathered at the scene of the incident.
The cause of the fire was not immediately established with the tenants of the building suspecting electricity fault.
The fire incident come barely two weeks after another fire razed a house in the town.
