Nakuru hosts Prinsloo 7s

02 September 2013, 11:39 Wilshere

Nakuru - Nakuru town over the weekend came to a standstill as the town hosted Prinsloo Safaricom 7s series 2013 that attracted lovers of the sport from across the country.

Colour and glamour was the order of the day during the three day event that saw rave renders from all parts of the country come to cheer for their teams

Both young and old were not left behind despite a heavy down pour that was experienced at the town during the 7s Series tournament.

For the ladies, freeze and shine was the dress code as they tried to out do each other in fashion and hair style while leaving other “things strictly” for imagination.

Security was at an all time high at the Nakuru Athletic Club (NAC) as police and security agents were on patrol on the premises.

Traders at the NAC had booming business following a high number of rugby fans who turned up at 7s series.

According to Daudi Ndun’gu a tattoo specialist, he said that business for him was far too good than he could have imagined.

“My business has been good due to the high number and am glad I have been able to make some good money,” he said.

However, during the night the NAC was turned into a drinking spree ground with the few who misbehaved finding themselves behind bars the following morning.

Nakuru police boss Bernard Kioko said that those arrested from NAC will be arraigned in court on Monday morning to face the charges of disorderly behaviour.
