Nakuru governor tours Spain to lure investors

Nakuru - Nakuru County governor, Kinuthia Mbugua, is on a four-day trip to Spain to seek collaboration on investment opportunities especially in the waste management sector.
Kinuthia recently toured two provinces in China, who promised to invest in the food processing and industrial development sector in Nakuru County.
Addressing the media at his office on Thursday, Nakuru County Secretary, Joseph Motari, said that the governor is leading a delegation of representatives from Nairobi and Narok Counties.
“Today the governor will be holding a discussion with the Vice President of Catalonia province in Barcelona City on issues of city management and operations. He will also meet industrialists and investors,” said Motari.
The governor is also expected to visit Barcelona fresh produce wholesale market, having visited various trade exhibitions in the city of Lleida.
Other important places he will tour include animal feeds processing factory, processed food packing industries, as well as holding discussion with Fribin meat processing factory with the possibility of setting up a similar factory in Nakuru.
