Nakuru Senator at risk of recall

Nakuru - Members of the Nakuru County business community have vowed to start collecting signatures as provided by Article104 of the constitution to recall Senator James Mungai for compromising Governor Kinuthia Mbugua's work.
The business community complained that Mungai has been engaging the governor in battles of political supremacy with regard to the running of the county.
“Our constitution has empowered the public with freedom of expression and this is why we feel the need to recall the senator because he is always trying to bring wrangles in the office of the governor,” said the chairman of the group, Peter Njoroge.
Njoroge said that the county Senator is behind the summoning of the Nakuru governor by the senate since they do not get along well.
Speaking on Wednesday in Nakuru town during a press briefing, the business people said that the ongoing politicking in the county will drag the county behind.
Njoroge said that the senator should concentrate on his work instead of meddling with matters of the county.
The business community also said a lot needs to be done in the county and that the senator and the governor should both work together for the betterment of the county.
