Nakuru County officers to sign performance contracts

Nakuru - Nakuru County Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has said all officers in his government will sign performance contracts to enable them serve residents effectively.

Mbugua said that the performance contracts will also be used in promoting officers in various departments in the county.

“We will also subject all senior officers on performance contracting and development of staff appraisal mechanism that will set targets for them to be achieved," he said.

Mbugua said that his government remains committed in creating accountability, transparency in the discharge of service to the public and that his government has come up with county strategic plans which will help in delivering of service to members of public.

He said there is need to have modern heroes and heroines who will fight corruption and champion for better education in the society.

He further urged Nakuru residents to support his government in the fight against corruption in the various public institutions in the county.

At the same time he applauded the Nakuru County Assembly for enacting key bills which will help steer the county into the next level.

“Am happy to report that the County Assembly has already enacted various documents as required by the constitution which will help our county to grow," he said.

He called on the MCAs to expedite the process of enacting the village delineation bill to help county government be able to appoint village and ward administrators respectively.
