All executive committee members and County Public Service board members who were cleared by the Nakuru County Assembly last week were sworn in on Monday.

“The public is expecting quality service from you and we cannot afford to fail them because this County has the potential needed to grow,” he said.
Kinuthia said that their new positions were very demanding considering that they will be charged with the responsibility of giving answers to members of the County assembly whenever required to.
He said that being in the County cabinet, the members will be expected to give relevant advice on policy to ensure that Nakuru County achieves meaningful development.
In other happenings at the County, Nakuru town East Member of Parliament David Gikaria has challenged the town youths to engage themselves in other productive sectors as they wait for funds from the government.
The lawmaker observed that many youths were still languishing in poverty while waiting for the youths funds yet there are a lot of job opportunities at the County level.
“The problem with many of our youths is that they are still waiting for the money from the government but what they need to do is engage in other productive activities,” he said.
Gikaria also urged the County government to give equal opportunities to youths who apply for jobs saying that that will be the only way the young generation will be motivated to develop the County.
Speaking on Monday, the MP said that youths are the only force that is able to propel the County to the next level.
He further added that the economy of Nakuru County and the country as a whole depends on youths thus the need to recognize them and involve them in County affairs.
