Nakumatt gives customers chance to watch Champions League final

01 April 2015, 14:45 Mike Munga

Nairobi - Kenyans using Nakumatt card to shop now have a chance of winning tickets to watch the UEFA Champions League finals to be held in Berlin, Germany, thanks to the Nakumatt MasterCard promotion.

Through Nakumatt Global MasterCard Prepaid Card, Kenyans will be able to enter into an electronic draw that will see them win the tickets.

But the card holders will have to shop and pay with their Nakumatt Global MasterCard in order to get an entry. One will gain entry for every KES 2000 spent at Nakumatt.

Speaking during the launch at Nakumatt headquarters Wednesday, Regional Director Strategy and Operations, Thiagarajan Ramamurthy said the company is interested in nurturing the football culture in Kenya.

"Football is a big sport in Kenya and by sending people to watch the UEFA matches in Europe, we are also giving them a chance to connect with the sport in a personal level and inspire the passion to support the local football scene," he said.

He said many young people believe in their talents but do not have a chance to shine a reason they have chosen to support football.

Also, the company sponsors Nakumatt FC which is playing in the FKF league.

Lucky winners will get a chance to watch live matches in the semi-final and final legs of the UEFA Champions League 2015.

The competition runs from 17th March to 20th April 2015.
