Nairobi's iconic Madhouse is back

Nairobi - 2015 is officially the
year of comebacks and fresh things with the return of what was the biggest club
in Kenya, the New Florida Night Club (F1), famously known as the Madhouse.
club has been at the very center of the entertainment scene since the early
80’s and all the way through to 2013, when it was shut down and relocated.
relocation was as a result of a wrangle with the building owners, who have
since destroyed the building and constructed a new one. The building had been
around since the 60’s as an entertainment spot, even before the F1 moved there.
The club has since its relocation been on a steep decline, with competition
rising faster than the veteran club could handle.
This weekend, the club
was reopened, officially making it one of the coolest clubs in the Nairobi, and making this arguably one of the biggest comebacks in
the history of the Kenyan entertainment scene.
The Madhouse, which was the
center of the social scene for the 80’s and 90’s kids gets a chance to be a
part of the next generation's social scene, carrying on its legacy and legendary
