Nairobi - The manager of the racist Chinese restaurant in Nairobi has been sent to the Langata Womens Prison pending charges over the illegal establishment.
The manager Zhao Yang has been sent to the Langata Prison in Nairobi on remand as she awaits charges on operating an illegal establishment in the city.
The restaurant was not licensed, according the Nairobi County registrar.
It is not yet clear whether she will also be charged with other offences including serving meat unfit for consumption in the country after it emerged that there was dog meat in the establishment's kitchen.
According to a County official that did not want to be named, there were signs of dog remains in the kitchen.
" We found dog paws and there was also dog meat dumped in Kawangware that is linked to the hotel," the official that did not want to be named said.
" Hopefully the evidence can be admitted in the case," the official added.
The woman will return to court Monday to answer to charges admitted against her and her organization.
There has been outrage from Kenyans over the matter, which has been well documented in recent times.
