Nairobi - Nairobi is the most unsafe city in Kenya, a report says.
According to the report by Ipsos Synovate, Nairobi registered 14% of violent crime in the country, with Northeastern Province at 10 per cent.
Coastal region registered a crime rate of 9% , Western 6%, Eastern 5%, Central, Nyanza 3% and Rift Valley at 2 per cent.
However, it is understood that only half of the victims - 51% - reported the crimes, citing the level of satisfaction with police response by those who reported the crimes.
More than twice as many were "completely dissatisfied", 61% were somewhat satisfied while 43 per cent were "not satisfied at all", the report indicated.
" The most common complaint was the weakness or absence of any follow-up investigations 55% followed by corruption 21% and slow or no response 18%," the report said.
The report also added that Kenyans do not believe that police will sort out their issues when called upon.
