Rotich said the mutilated bodies were seen by a man who was grazing his cattle and later informed the area chief.
Shocked members of the public jammed scene as police were removing the bodies with residents saying the deceased persons were not known in the area.
Meanwhile, another man’s body has been found floating at Muringato River, Nyarugumu village in Tetu Sub-County.
The body, which had no physical injuries, was found by residents.
All the bodies were ferried to Nyeri Referral Hospital morgue with the police boss saying that investigations have been launched over the incidents.
