NCIC says Kenya lacks responsible leaders

Nairobi - National Cohesion and Integration (NCIC) Legal and Complaints Committee chairman, Morris Dzoro has said that Kenya lacks leaders who are committed to bringing cohesion in the country.
Speaking in Nairobi on Thursday, Dzoro said utterances by a section of opposition leaders during the Uhuru Park rally, and other remarks made in the past by political leaders across the divide are tearing this country apart.
“What we have are leaders who are not responsible and don’t care at all. All of them talk and behave like children who don’t know anything in rallies.

“Mature people should know how to talk and behave, and not wait for NCIC to monitor them,” Dzoro said.
According to Dzoro, the commission sent its technical team to Cord’s rally and they have started working on the information they gathered before taking the next move.
“We are analyzing the information with the Criminal Investigations Department and other parties before taking required action,” Dzoro said.
He said so far NCIC has trained 400 police officers and given them necessary gadgets to gather information, particularly from those who make hate utterances.
