Mwangi leads CORD referendum team

Nairobi - Lawyer Paul Mwangi has been named as the leader of a team of experts which will oversee the setting up of a referendum by the CORD coalition.
Mwangi was named Tuesday by ODM secretary general Prof. Anyang Nyon'go as the main man behind the push for a controversial referendum.
Mwangi has worked for CORD leader Raila Odinga previously as his legal representative and adviser.
He will be joined by disgraced former Makueni Senate seat aspirant and lawyer Kethi Kilonzo on the panel, as she seeks redemption.
Kethi is also no stranger to CORD, having been part of the team that had contested at the Supreme Court, president Uhuru Kenyatta's victory in the March 2013 elections.

Khleaf Khalif and Beatrice Kitui will complete the team.
The referendum was called in the aftermath of the Saba Saba day rally in Nairobi to seek consensus on issues affecting the country.
They want the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commision IEBC disbanded, as well as consensus on the state of insecurity, tribalism and public appointments probed during the referendum. For the latest on national news, politics, sport, entertainment and more follow us on Twitter and like our Facebook page!
