Nairobi - Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi has thrown out the impeachment motion against Devolution CS Anne Waiguru for lack of quorum.
The motion, carried forward by Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter failed to meet the required threshold of MPs required.
According to Muturi, the motion fell short by 8 MPs, not meeting the 77 required to have the motion put up for discussion.
" The motion has failed to get the required total by 8," Muturi announced Thursday.
The motion itself had faced a number of issues, with Jubilee Coalition MPs apparently being forced to stay away, while Waiguru also landed a court order stopping it.
Waiguru has been under pressure for the loss of as much as KES 791 million at the National Youth Service NYS which lied under her docket.
